An appeal on behalf of our birdlife
As anglers we all come across our feathered friends whilst we are fishing. We all know that robins will seek out anglers and will appear very tame when offered a few maggots or some bread. Can I therefore suggest that if you have bird food at home, seeds etc, that you take a small bag with you and s...

Lake of Menteith 6 March 2021 Cancellation advice
Dear all, It is with great regret that I have to inform all those who applied for this event that it has had to be cancelled because of the ongoing Covid restrictions on both sides of the border. As suggested previously I am writing to all applicants this weekend and will be returning their cheques....

The latest update re the Scottish measures to combat Covid seem to be suggesting that they will be in place until at least mid February and that travel, accommodation etc will still be a major is...

Good afternoon all, The deadline for applications for the proposed event on 6 March is fast approaching and I can confirm that the event is already oversubscribed so a draw for places will take place. However in the wake of yesterdays announcements I am far from confident that the event will take pl...
Re: Lockdown
Hi Gaz I believe so but understand that the Angling Trust are making some sort of statement either today or tomorrow. Not sure if it is their call to be honest. I understand golf is allowed in two balls so would amazed if fishing was stopped.

Lake of Menteith rearranged date for the November 2020 postponement
Hello all, Can I take this opportunity to wish all members a Merry Christmas and a Happy Covid free 2021. I am trying to reorganise a date for all those who should have fished the event on 7 November. Obviously the continuing pandemic issues are a factor but I have asked the fishery to consider a co...

Re: New PAC logo
Lumby I am not an old fart more a middle aged fart, maybe!! Not sure about the Facebook comments either. I still think that if there was going to be a change after all these years there should have been some sort of consultation with the members. Perhaps two or three designs including the old one co...
