I need, or at least want to buy, a rubberised landing net. I have settled upon a Fox - Rage - Speedflow 2 Foldable Net in the medium size but I cannot seem to find out what the maximum handle length is. Does anyone have one of these ? John Thanks for your reply it was very interesting. I deleted my post because I bought an 8' Fox Warrior lure rod which seems to work quite well. I have a few floating plugs and I now have some cheap spinner lures which I am going to try. Casting distance does seem an issue but I will try your solde...

Thanks for the replies. There appears to be very little evidence to the claim that a rubberised mesh damages fish. If there have been problems I suspect that they have occurred in the carp world. Hence not all manufacturers will see a commercial benefit in making them. I have not heard of any club b...

It was potentially a sales pitch I suspect. Since they seem to be a rare item I considered there may be some truth in what I was told.

Thanks very much for your reply. It wasn't anything to do with speed. I have had a few instances of the mesh catching a stray treble or even the teeth. It was mostly just to ensure the pike ended up in the bottom of the net and not suspended up the side of it. It also complicated hook removal. Since...
