I have asked some French connections,pardon the pun, and as John suggests it's a Pike and all methods that normally work will work for the new kid on the block!
It seems the plan is to standardise local byelaws across the country... Which is why I have concerns about the PAC's support for proposals to limit summer piking in Broadland.
