Hello from Notts!

Post by Tim Price » Thu Dec 20, 2018 5:26 pm

Following a 10+ year absence from freshwater fishing and PAC membership, following a holiday on the Broads where I took my old lure rod, having a little more time on my hands these days, and in need of serious destressing from pressures at work, i've decided to dust off the rest of my tackle and get after the predators again. A promising start at Attenborough has transformed into several blank sessions. Even Trent Lock hasn't seemed to produce anything. I guess I need to update all I have learned previously and put those rod hours in!
Anyway, it feels great to be back!

One question, I now see I should have added my membership no to my username. I can't seem to change this via the user CP. Anyone know how I go about it?

Cheers all,

It would be very interesting to hear if you think pike angling has changed much in the last ten years. I look forward to seeing your comments in 'pike fishing' but don't put too much detail about venues etc! We would all like to put more information about what we catch and where, but it is not a good idea to be too specific!
Good luck in your re-started fishing adventure.

I'm in a slightly different area these days, so having fun exploring some new waters, although the aforementioned Trent Lock used to produce well for me.
I'm still using my old tactics and rigs. Simple running ledger and float set ups, although I have switched from mono to braid. Lures seem to have evolved quite a lot and I had a cracking short mobile session on New Years Day with four Pike landed in two hours on an initial visit to a local river, all falling to a 3D roach.

Thanks again for the welcome all, and tight lines for the New Year.
