As anglers we all come across our feathered friends whilst we are fishing. We all know that robins will seek out anglers and will appear very tame when offered a few maggots or some bread. Can I therefore suggest that if you have bird food at home, seeds etc, that you take a small bag with you and scatter some around the areas where you fish. The chances are that in addition to the robins you will be helping out our finches, sparrows, blackbirds and many others. They certainly need some help in the cold winter months.
In addition to helping the birds it will give you something to do whilst you are waiting for a run!!
