Suffolk PAC Meet Up

Post by Jason Skilton » Tue Feb 05, 2019 8:04 am

Dear All,

Myself and Steve are deliberating if it is worth continuing with having the PAC Suffolk region 08.

Over the last 6 and a bit years, I have have tried over the years to hold fish in, speakers nights, but the attendance is poor. The only highlight has been the Suffolk PAC Junior Teach in's where we have run all three levels overs the last 18 months at Alton Water.

Is it as case that Suffolk members are closer to the PAC regions in Cambridge or Norfolk and therefore prefer to go to their meetings?

So simply would anyone be interested in a catch up in a pub for a couple of hours for a yarn on all things pike, pike fishing and Suffolk PAC, or should the region be closed down.

All thoughts and comments welcome, but please email them to suffolkpac@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks

Jason Skilton and Steve Thompson

Many thanks to all who replied to our recent circular asking who would be interested in attending an informal pub evening for a catch-up on all matters pike-related, and to consider the future of Suffolk PAC.

Several people expressed an interest in attending an event, and as a result we are pleased to announce that it will be held on Tuesday evening 26th February at 7.30pm at the Little Wellington pub, Stowupland Rd, Stowmarket, IP14 5AG. The pub is very close to Stowmarket railway station for anyone who doesn't want to drive.

All welcome, and please reply to this email to let us know if you plan to attend. Apologies to those of you who live too far away to make it this time; it seems that Stowmarket is a reasonably central location for the majority of those who replied, but we will consider other Suffolk locations for future meetings if the demand is there.

There is no formal agenda for the meeting, but if you have anything that you'd like to discuss, let us know, or just raise it on the evening.

We hope to see a few of you on 26th for a beer and catch-up!

All the best,

Steve & Jason
